What God Must Be Like

"I don't want you to suffer,"
And I realize that's what
Love is.

It hears about pain,
Not a general "people," one individual
Singular, unique as a snowflake
Person and says
"I don't want you to suffer,"
And then does something
About it.

That must be what God is like
If God is love.
A friend who sees what's
Happening and says
"I don't want you to suffer,"
And then,
"I love you."
